PrivilegeScribe transcribes a live hearing, OCRs the matter file, then drafts a classified, jurisdiction-aware report with a local language model. Nothing leaves your machine — no cloud, no API calls, no training on client material.
Runs locally on macOS. Choose how you want to start.
Apple silicon or Intel · 16 GB RAM recommended · 20 GB free disk
Works fully offline once the model is cached

CAPABILITIES
Audio, dictation, scans, exports, spreadsheets — one pipeline from raw source to a report you can file, with the privilege picture under your control.
Real-time local transcription with word timestamps. Non-speech gaps are tagged
[PAUSE 3.1s] and [NOISE -38 dB],
low-confidence speech is flagged (unclear) — so you can see what a recording cannot prove.
Drop in files or a whole folder — scanned correspondence, PDFs, exports, spreadsheets. Text is extracted locally and queued; new files are picked up automatically while you work.
Every output carries the classification you set — Attorney Work Product, Internal or Discoverable — with matter, client, jurisdiction and author stamped in the header.
Switzerland (DE / FR / IT-speaking), European Union, Germany, France, Italy, United Kingdom, United States — the register and terminology follow the forum you pick.
Reusable, versioned prompts per task — chronology, witness summary, issues memo, discovery review. Add matter-specific notes without touching the template, and save new prompts as you go.
Output in DE, FR, IT or EN, and choose the register: court / formal, client-facing or internal working. Language detection runs on the source material first.
PrivilegeScribe flags names, contact details and identifiers it would redact before a document goes out. You decide — nothing is removed automatically.
Every run records matter, sources, prompt, output file and timestamp in a local log — a defensible record of how a report came to exist.
Save straight into the matter folder or to the desktop, with predictable file naming, and move processed sources out of the intake queue automatically.
HOW IT WORKS
Four steps, no external services, no matter data leaving the machine.
Record the hearing or call with the local live-hearing recorder. Annotated transcript lands in the hand-over folder automatically.
Add the recordings, scans and exports you already have. OCR and text extraction run locally; new files drop into the queue as they arrive.
Set matter, client, jurisdiction, classification and register. Pick a prompt from the library and add matter-specific instructions.
Generate the report with the local model, review the redaction suggestions, then save it into the matter folder — logged, classified, ready to file.
PRIVILEGE & SECURITY
Sending a client's hearing recording to a third-party AI service is a privilege and confidentiality question,
not just an IT decision. PrivilegeScribe is built the other way round: the model runs on your hardware,
the server binds to 127.0.0.1, and the application makes no outbound calls
while processing a matter.
Firms that cannot accept any third-party processing at all can take the on-premises perpetual license and run the full stack inside their own perimeter, under their own backup and retention policy.

No. Transcription, OCR and report generation all run locally, and the local
services bind to 127.0.0.1. There is no cloud AI provider in the loop and no
telemetry. Only the license check and payment go through Stripe; a license is validated once for the key and its seats.
A coder-grade instruction model running through Ollama, chosen for reliable structured output on long inputs. A GPU speeds generation up considerably; Apple silicon runs it comfortably without one. The first launch downloads the model once — after that everything works offline.
Accurate enough to save hours, never accurate enough to file unreviewed. Annotated transcripts mark pauses, noise and unclear passages so you can see where a recording is weak, and redaction suggestions are exactly that — suggestions. The responsible lawyer reviews every output.
A seat is one lawyer working in PrivilegeScribe, activated on one machine. Move a seat to a new laptop by deactivating the old machine, and add or remove seats any time in the — the change is prorated.
Yes, for Firm, Chambers and On-Premises licenses. Email sales@privilegescribe.com with the firm name, billing address and number of seats, and we issue an invoice in CHF with a payment reference.
Yes. Download the trial launcher and run a redacted or synthetic matter locally, or book a demo and we will run a sample end to end with you. Evaluations are not limited in matters processed.
The license expires and the app stops accepting new matter runs; your local files, reports and audit trail stay exactly where they are. Nothing is deleted remotely — we have no copy.
Because some firms cannot accept a dependency they cannot audit. The perpetual license ships the full source, runs entirely inside your perimeter, and only the optional maintenance plan (20% per year) buys ongoing updates and support.
30 minutes, screen shared, using a redacted or synthetic sample. You keep nothing installed unless you want to.

Scope. A license grants the named firm the right to install and use PrivilegeScribe for its own professional work. Solo licenses cover one seat; Firm and Chambers licenses cover the number of seats purchased; the perpetual license covers up to ten seats within the licensing firm. A seat may be moved between machines by deactivating the previous machine.
Term. Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled and may be cancelled at any time with effect from the end of the current billing period. The perpetual license does not expire; updates and support are included for twelve months and continue while the optional annual maintenance plan is active.
Data flow. Matter content is processed exclusively on your hardware. No client material, transcript, prompt or output is transmitted to PrivilegeScribe or to any third party. The only outbound traffic is a license activation/validation request containing the license key, seat count and an anonymous installation identifier, plus Stripe's own payment traffic. The website you are reading sends nothing about your matters — it contains no matter data at all.
Payments. Card payments are processed by Stripe. Swiss VAT is added where applicable; business customers in the EU with a valid VAT ID are reverse-charged.
Responsibility. PrivilegeScribe is a drafting tool and not legal advice. Outputs are machine-generated: the responsible lawyer must verify every report, classification and redaction before it is filed, disclosed or relied upon.
This summary is provided for orientation. The binding terms are those agreed in the order confirmation or the signed license agreement.
